Italian in 4 Weeks — Speak Before You Land

Italian in 4 Weeks | Italiano Chiaro
Italiano Chiaro · Sarah Panico

You won’t be fluent in 4 weeks.
But you will speak.

Most Italian courses promise too much and leave you frustrated. This one tells you the truth — and gives you exactly what’s possible before your trip to Italy.

Four weeks is not enough to become fluent.
It is enough to be understood.

After 30 years of teaching Italian, I know exactly what students can and can’t achieve in a month. Most courses oversell and underdeliver. This course works the other way around. I’d rather you feel confident and capable than disappointed and give up.

What this is not

  • A fluency programme
  • A grammar textbook
  • A miracle solution
  • Something that works without effort
  • A substitute for living in Italy

What this is

  • Real, usable Italian from day one
  • Conversations you’ll actually have
  • Clear progress you can measure
  • Confidence at the bar, the market, the station
  • A foundation you can keep building on

Four weeks. One goal.
Leave knowing you can do this.

1

Survival Italian

The words and phrases that get you through any situation. Greetings, numbers, asking for help, understanding answers — even when they come too fast.

Greetings Numbers Asking for help Yes / No / Please / Thank you
2

Out and about

Ordering at a bar, buying things at the market, asking for directions. The real conversations of everyday Italian life — not the textbook versions.

3

Making yourself understood

Forming your own sentences, not just memorising phrases. Simple present tense, talking about yourself, understanding what people say back to you.

4

Pulling it all together

Short conversations from start to finish. Review, practice, and enough confidence to walk into a situation and handle it — even if it doesn’t go perfectly.

This course is for you if…

  • You’re going to Italy in the next few weeks and want to do more than point and smile
  • You’ve tried apps like Duolingo but felt like you weren’t really learning anything useful
  • You want to make an effort — you just need someone to show you what to focus on
  • You’re a complete beginner, or you studied Italian years ago and remember almost nothing
  • You want honest progress, not false promises
S

I’m Sarah — and I’ve been teaching Italian for over 30 years.

I’ve taught hundreds of adult learners, and I know exactly what holds people back. It’s not intelligence. It’s not time. It’s unrealistic expectations — usually set by courses that promise fluency in weeks.

My approach is different. I tell you what’s achievable, I focus on what actually matters, and I give you the tools to keep going long after this course ends.

Italian is my language. Helping you speak it is my work.

Questions

How much time do I need each day?
Around 20–30 minutes a day is enough to get through the material and make real progress. Consistency matters more than long sessions.
Do I need any previous knowledge of Italian?
No. This course starts from zero. If you know a little already, you’ll find the first week a useful review and move faster from week two.
Is this a live course or self-paced?
It’s fully self-paced. You work through the material in your own time, at your own pace. No live sessions to attend, no fixed schedule.
What format is the material?
A combination of written lessons, audio recordings, and exercises. Everything is downloadable so you can use it offline — on the plane, on the train, wherever you are.
Will I really be able to speak Italian after 4 weeks?
You’ll be able to handle real everyday situations — ordering food, asking for directions, introducing yourself, shopping. You won’t be fluent. But you will be able to communicate, and that’s what matters when you’re actually in Italy.
